Tutorial
From idea to #1, step by step
Ten short chapters covering everything in Go Variety. Mark each one done as you go — your progress is saved on this device.
Chapter 1
Create your account
Everything you build is saved to your account, so start here.
- 1
Sign up
Use email or Google on the sign-in page. Confirm your email if asked — the link opens Go Variety again.
- 2
Pick a handle
In Settings choose an @handle, a display name and a profile picture. Your handle is how friends find you and challenge you.
- 3
Know your plan
The Free plan gives you one business and 3 AI updates a month. Monthly plans add more businesses, more AI updates and remove Go Variety branding from your site.
Chapter 2
Describe your idea
The builder makes exactly what you ask for — a software product, a service, a course, a local business or a shop.
- 1
Write one clear sentence
Say who it's for and what they get. "A booking tool for dog groomers with reminders" works far better than "an app".
- 2
Add details that matter
Mention price range, location, or how customers pay if you already know. Leave out what you don't know — the builder fills gaps with sensible starting points.
- 3
No idea yet?
Press "No idea?" under the prompt bar. Answer six quick questions about your interests, skills, time, budget and ideal customer and you'll get a concept that fits you.
Tip: Only physical products get suppliers and shipping. Software, services and digital products never do.
Chapter 3
Choose your name and logo
Before building, you confirm who the business is.
- 1
Review the name
Keep the suggestion or type your own. It becomes your web address, so short and memorable wins.
- 2
Pick a logo
Choose one of the options shown. You can change it later from your business dashboard.
- 3
Start the build
The animated browser window shows progress. You can leave the page — the build keeps going and your dashboard shows it when it's ready.
Chapter 4
Preview and edit your site
Your site includes a homepage, offers with prices, FAQs, a contact form and — for software — a working workspace.
- 1
Open the preview
From your dashboard, open the business and press Preview. Switch between desktop, tablet and phone views.
- 2
Edit in plain English
Type changes into the chat beside the preview, like "make the pricing cheaper" or "add a FAQ about refunds". Each change uses one AI update.
- 3
Undo anything
A snapshot is saved before every change. Press Undo to go back instantly.
- 4
Check every price
Prices and inclusions start as suggestions. Make sure they match what you can actually deliver before you share the site.
Tip: Batch several small edits into one message to save AI updates.
Chapter 5
Launch and share
Launching makes your site public at its own address.
- 1
Complete the checklist
Your dashboard shows a short launch checklist. Tick each item — it covers the things customers notice first.
- 2
Share your launch card
Every business gets a public "I just built…" page with share buttons and a downloadable image. Post it anywhere.
- 3
Invite people
Your referral link gives you and each friend 5 credits on signup, and you get 100 when they start a monthly plan.
Chapter 6
Get customers and get paid
Customers can buy, book or send enquiries straight from your site.
- 1
Answer enquiries
Contact-form messages arrive by email and in your dashboard. Reply quickly — speed wins customers.
- 2
Connect your bank
Open Earnings and connect your bank account. Payouts are available on every plan once you've made sales.
- 3
Track results
Revenue, orders and customers update in real time on your business dashboard.
Chapter 7
Earn XP and level up
The leaderboard ranks companies by experience (XP) and level — not money. Everyone starts at zero.
- 1
Make today's decision
Each day your dashboard shows a business event with a few choices. Every choice earns XP; some also move your reputation and market share.
- 2
Unlock achievements
First Sale, Competitor, Winner and more each award bonus XP.
- 3
Level up
Levels grow as XP builds up — each level needs a little more than the last. Your progress bar shows how close you are.
Tip: Coming back daily is the fastest way to climb — decisions reset every day.
Chapter 8
Competitions and challenges
Every competitor is a real founder. There are no computer-controlled companies.
- 1
Join a competition
Open Compete, pick a competition and join in one tap. Each has its own leaderboard, and a new round starts automatically when one ends.
- 2
Challenge a founder
Pick a company from the leaderboard or a friend's profile and send a head-to-head challenge. They accept, and the better performer over the window wins.
- 3
Collect your rewards
Wins add XP and appear on your public company profile and your personal profile.
Chapter 10
Grow beyond one business
When one business is working, add more.
- 1
Switch projects fast
Use the project switcher in the sidebar to jump between businesses.
- 2
Upgrade when you need more
Monthly plans add businesses and AI updates and remove platform branding. Your business stays live whatever plan you're on.
- 3
Get help
Open Support from the menu any time — a real person reads every ticket.

Chapter 9
Friends and profiles
Your profile shows your level, XP, wins, achievements and businesses.
Find friends
Search by @handle on the Friends page and send a request.
Compare progress
Friends' profiles show their businesses and levels, so you can see who's ahead.
